Jennifer Newberger is Vice President, Regulatory and Compliance, at Cognito Therapeutics. Her role involves thinking about short and long-term strategies for the company and how best to position ourselves in front of regulators. She loves considering new and novel ways to approach regulators and to think creatively about problem solving. She is a medical device regulatory lawyer by training, and worked in Washington, D.C., for 10 years in law firms representing medical device companies of all shapes and sizes, as well a short stint at FDA. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2017 to lead Apple’s efforts to obtain its first de novo authorizations for its software products. In addition to nerding out about regulatory issues, Jennifer enjoys chasing her two young sons around to far too many activities and traveling whenever the opportunity presents. She received her BA in Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis, her MPH in International Health from Emory University, and her JD from University of Miami School of Law.
